GFTU is a strong, modern, dynamic trade union focused on one thing - protecting our members in the workplace. This website reflects GFTU's aims and ideals, and shows what we do every day for our members.
GFTU is a general federation, which means that anyone can join us.GFTU has members in every part of the Pakistan economy doing every type of job imaginable. Our members are men and women, young and old, working full and part time, and are made up of a wide and diverse cross section of our society.
Every day of the year GFTU offers protection at work and solves problems for GFTU members. We provide back up, representation and advice on every issue related to your life at work.
Backing up the reps are full time GFTU officials - their job is to listen to you, advise you and represent you at work.
We also employ a team of experts on a range of issues including legal specialists, health and safety experts, pension specialists, human resource management staff and experts on txerms and conditions. In fact, if you need advice and support about anything to do with work the GFTU can help you.
Our fundamental approach is that together we can achieve more than we can do on our own.
